The Tubman Museum is devoted to African American culture, history and art, while music fans should enjoy the Allman Brothers Museum. The top historic attraction, however, is the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park. Here, there is evidence of more than 17,000 years of continuous human inhabitation.

Things to do between Dublin and Atlanta: High Falls State Park

High Falls State Park is primarily a camping and fishing destination. But there’s also a swimming pool, and several walking trials. The park is based around the waterfalls on the Towaliga River, and the best walks head along the river banks into the surrounding hilly forest.

Kayak and canoe rentals are available if you wish to head out on the lake.

In Clayton County and spread over 150 acres, the Atlanta State Farmers Market is one of the biggest outdoor markets in the states. Georgia is hugely proud of its fresh produce, and this is the best place to get your hands on it. There are a café and garden center on site, and the market is open 24 hours a day.
